Only 20,000??!!

President Bush's planned increase of 20,000 troops is welcome but come on, 20,000? That wouldn't even fill Washington Grizzly Stadium. We need much, much more.

If we really want to win this war, we could. However, political correctness is preventing us from unleashing our full military might against our enemies in Iraq. We have the Liberals and squishy Republicans who have bought into the PC where we have to fight a war that won't hurt anybody or make anybody mad.

Presidents who are now revered by most and fought decisive wars did not have PC to worry about. Lincoln decimated the South with Sherman's March to the Sea. Roosevelt and Truman destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan and Dresden and Berlin in Germany. They understood that we had to bring the enemy to their knees and surrender.

It's frustrating that we don't have the political will to fight a war the way we need to in order to decisively win. Liberals love this fact. They like to see the US lose wars. They see the US as the cause of problems in the world. They see the money spent on the military and war as a waste and want that money spent on increasing the influence of Liberal government programs.

They don't understand that there are evil people in the world who desire the destruction of our way of life. In order to defeat these people and defend our freedom and liberty, we MUST have a strong and active military that can go out and kick butt.

Our military might is the only thing in the world that has and is protecting the freedom and liberty of all countries that enjoy these elements.

That's a pretty dim world view Andy. What about diplomacy etc etc? Nothing?

  2. How can be diplomatic with terrorists, Shane?

Should we really go down that slippery slope where we're making deals with terrorists now, all for the sake of peace? Look what happened to Spain when they pulled out of Iraq?
They got bombed. Should we talk with dictators from Iran and Syria too?

    Sheesh!

  3. Yes it is a dim view but I think it's accurate. You can't simply use diplomacy with every leader or country.

Chamberlain used diplomacy with Hitler. Didn't really work.

Throughout history, the society with the strongest military has dominated. I kinda like ours and want to keep it!
