Did Rush Call US Soldier a Suicide Bomber? No.

Note: Since I upset Colby and Wulfgar with my podcast the other day, I want to respond to some of their points in separate posts. I'll start with the claim that Rush called the soldier in the VoteVets.org commercial a suicide bomber.

Media Matters , the MSM and the Left continue to attack Rush and lie and misrepresent his words. The latest is the claim that Rush called Brian McGough, the soldier in the Vote Vets.org ad, a suicide bomber. Media Matters actually quotes Rush correctly. (emphasis mine)

You know, this is such a blatant use of a valiant combat veteran, lying to him about what I said, then strapping those lies to his belt, sending him out via the media in a TV ad to walk into as many people as he can walk into.

This man will always be a hero to this country with everyone. Whoever pumped him full of these lies about what I said and embarrassed him with this ad has betrayed him. They're not hurting me, they're betraying this soldier. Now, unless he actually believes what he's saying, in which case it's just so unfortunate and sad when the truth of what I said is right out there to be learned.

So where exactly does Rush call Mr. McGough a Suicide Bomber??? Sure, he uses the analogy of a suicide bomber to describe what VoteVets.org/MoveOn.org etc. are doing to this valiant combat veteran. But he never calls him a suicide bomber like Mr. McGough himself claims.

“So, Rush Limbaugh called me a ‘suicide bomber,’ said the anti-war veteran. "More slander from the high and mighty sitting in his chair nursing the boils on his ass. I can assure you that I am no suicide bomber and that I can think for myself.’’
So, Wulfgar, you claim Rush called Brian McGough a suicide bomber. I ask you to show me the evidence.

  1. "Upset"? Not likely, little camper. Your podcast was the best laugh I've had in a couple of days.

Andy, the adults among us like to consider what we call "free-will". Now I'll forgive you for not considering the obvious (for a second) and just show that you haven't thought things through. Rush is claiming, quite clearly, that McGough is being manipulated by ... whom? He chose to do the ad for VoteVets. You get that, right?

But no, to Rush (and you) he was lied to and manipulated into "strapping those lies to his belt, sending him out into as many people as he can walk into". How exactly are we supposed to interpret that except as a direct analogue of a suicide bomber? Only one problem. McGough is a willing member of VoteVets, and chose to do the ad. So I offer you a choice, 'Andrew' was Rush calling him stupid or crazy?

No, you're right. Rush Butt-pimple doesn't want people looking at what McGough said at all. He wants us to dismiss him. He wants folks to focus on what McGough (feeble-minded as he is) was forced to do by VoteVets and (in one of your stupider claims) MoveOn. Let me boil this down to a level even a dunce like you can comprehend: an anology, if it is to be taken seriously, means that two circumstances are the same. You write:

Sure, (Rush) uses the analogy of a suicide bomber

    But then, idiotically, you write:

But (Rush) never calls him a suicide bomber

Go back to Sesame Street, Andy, and you will see that one of these things is not like the other even though they must be according to Rush, and you. Even McGough, poor slave to MoveOn (though they had not one thing to do with this), understands through his dim manipulated will (the world according to Andy) that Rush likened him to (called him) a suicide bomber, with the target of the explosive being the poor defenseless fat-ass Viagra lovin' baby-rapin' Oxy-demented clown Rush Limbaugh. After reading this in that light can you still wonder why I'm laughing at you?

And all I really wanted you to do is the one thing you avoid like the plague. Answer the question, Andy. Why are you defending Rush Limbaugh for saying something stupid? You could have shrugged it off. You could have said he was wrong and let it go. But no, the deeper he digs, the harder you work to sharpen the shovel. Why Andy? What does Rush Limbaugh mean to you that you will look ever more foolish to defend him?

  2. Amazing! I still don't see where Wulfie answers your question.

Could it be that he cannot? Oh, say it isn't so, that Wulfie would actually make an outrageous statement, and then admit it's ridiculousness!

Nope, that ain't going to happen.

  3. Wulfgar,
This mumbo jumbo nonsensical answer is exactly the kind of reply I expected from you.

I know you are smarter then you let on here. You can't possibly be serious with this rant.

My answer to your question: Rush did not say anything stupid and has no reason to apologize. He certainly doesn't need a dunce like me to defend him and is doing quite well on his own. I am doing it to point out, in our little corner of the blogospere, how Media Matters and Liberals are distorting and lying about what he said. I am doing it by playing the actual clip of what he said about phony soldiers and posting the actual transcripts of what he said regarding the false accusation of suicide bombers. To rational people, these clips and transcripts speak for themselves.

Now try answering my question without your typical arrogant and condescending rant.

  4. 1) Andy, just because you don't get it doesn't mean I wasn't making sense. You might want to think that through.

    2) Many Veterans, including the founders of VoteVets, Jon Soltz, General Wesley Clark and Brian McGough all think that Rush Limbaugh said something incredibly stupid. And you want *me* to prove this? Limp-dick needs to apologize, but not to me. I've pointed that out, Andy. But you remain clueless about that little glitch in your reality. Seriously, cupcake, if he's doing so well on his own, why does he need you to defend him? And why is he standing stalwart against the very veterans who think he's being an ass? Do you have an answer?

    3) You pathetically claim that Rush is a "hero" to this country. Except fopr screwing underage Dominicans (!wink!) not once have you posted anything heroic that Rush has done. You posted it! Do you care to correct that oversight? I didn't think so.

    4) You didn't post an "actual clip of what he said" (your words). You posted an actual clip of his edit of what he said. Come on, Andy. you can't really be that dim, can you?

    5) I already answered your question, but you are too clueless to admit it. Where does Rush call McGough a suicide bomber? When he makes the analogy. Rush posits that McGough is analogous to a suicide bomber. How fricking dim must you be to not see that Rush just called this man "a suicide bomber"? Never mind, I know the answer.

    6) Yes, you are a dunce. You said it, not me. Quit, Andy, quit being a dunce. That's your choice.

And finally, the coup de grass, you still, after repeated asking, fail to answer my question: why do you feel the need to defend a draft-dodging butt-pimpled child-diddling drug-addled asshat of a pundit? I don't have to answer your question, Andy, though I have. You haven't answered mine, and you've avoided it at every turn. Are you a coward? Are you gay for Rush? I really want to know! Why are you defending him?
