Proof Why Wind Power Can't Replace Fossil Fuels

Here is a link to the Bonneville Power Administration Balancing Authority Load and Total Wind, Hydro, and Thermal (Fossil Fuels) in near real time.

Note how wind (the blue line) only produces electricity when it blows. Also note how when the wind does blow, there is little to no reduction of hydro and thermal.
