Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street (Earn it vs. Give it to Me)

In the Missoulian's LTE section today, a commenter perfectly contrasted members of the Tea Party with Occupy Wall Street in response to a bizarre LTE titled "Collective consciousness: Western beliefs harming the world".

All men strive to make their lives better. We see it in the actions of those like the “Tea Party” who say, government get off our backs and let us prosper. It is the same in the “Occupy Wall Street Movement” they wish more—and their idea of more is have the government give them more. Both have the same objective. The difference, one set, let me earn it, the other set have someone else earn it and give it to me.

Labor Leader Calls for Violence Against Republicans at Obama Speech

Will the Left denounce?   Will Obama denounce?  I think we all know the answer...

Tea Partiers Challenging Obama - Love It!

I hope Obama encounters this same type of challenge throughout his Magical Misery Bus Tour.

Meredith Whitney shows her complete ignorance by stating "call the Tea Party whatever you will, the fringe element is, you know, I characterize freaked out white men who are unemployed and have been unemployed for three years and they're scared to death."

Fact is, the Tea Party are the ones who actually work and are tired of paying the ever increasing taxes to those who don't or won't.

Obama's Successes in His First Two Years

In an effort to be credible, I want to praise Obama for his successes in his first two years. Below are the things I consider successes of things he was either able or unable to accomplish even with a super majority Congress...

• Retaining the Bush era tax rates
• GITMO remains open
• The war against terror in the Middle East continuing
• No Union Card Check
• No amnesty for illegal aliens
• No gay marriage law

In addition, his incompetence as a politician, communicator and governor led to an overwhelming landslide for the GOP/Tea Party in 2010 which, hopefully, will lead to the reversal of the health care reform and lead to more policies that will actually help revitalize our sick economy.

So the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), an organization promoting people of only one race, condemns Tea Partiers for being racists.
